Kubler Al is an internationally recognized author, speaker and master instructor who is one of the worlds leading experts in the field of self-defense.

He is the founder and director of training for Cutting Edge Combat, international provider of close quarters combat training.

His twenty-seven years of combined experience include martial arts and covert, extreme close quarter combat.

In 1997 he was certified as a master instructor in the professional art of Kuta by D.O.K. Lee (Master of Masters).

Then in 2000 with the passing of D.O.K. Lee, Kubler Al became the head of the Kuta system and he is now the highest ranking Kuta instructor in the world.

As an internationally recognized combat expert, he has students all over the United States and in Australia.

His articles have been published in one of the largest law enforcement magazines in the world, (Police Magazine) and he has also authored a crime prevention manual 'How To Survive a Mugging' (an eBook available online).

Presently he about to go to publishing with a new book.

He has been a guest speaker at numerous public venues including TREXPO (Tactical Response Exposition, an international law enforcement exposition) and he has been interviewed on radio and for a television special.

He has provided defensive tactics training for the U.S. Department of Commerce NOAA Office of Law Enforcement Western region, Los Angeles County Sheriffs Lennox Station, the City of San Clemente Marine Safety Division and numerous individual law enforcement officers.

He has provided private seminars in the United States and Australia.

Along with his contributions to enhance and promote simplistic close combat training, Kubler Al continues to operate a close combat instructor certification program, with instructors across the United States.

His program is credited with providing increased safety and confidence through greater hand-to-hand skills, as more and more individuals abandon complex and outdated training methods.

He has developed a powerful curriculum that delivers maximum effectiveness in a very short period of time.
